Teen eyebrows grow. How to perfect the eyebrows shape is one of the biggest questions teens ask. Perfectly groomed brows bring out the beauty in your eyes. They really can make or break the look you are going for. If you look closely you will see that a lot of teens will either over-pluck the eyebrows or let their eyebrows grow into one big unibrow. It’s not your fault. Many of you are not shown how to perfect eyebrows shape. Have you ever been so careful to put on the perfect makeup and get it just right only to step back, look in the mirror and think something is not jiving here? Eyebrows seem to be the one minor detail most people overlook when striving for the perfect face. In the 1920’s the pencil thin brow was all the rage and it seems to have hung on. This is a very unnatural look on most people. Your teen eyebrows should be natural-flowing arches that are there to frame your beautiful eyes. So let’s get out        of the 1920’s and move into 2009. Achieving great brows is easier than you might think.       

Just follow these 4 really easy steps:

1. Draw an imaginary line from your tear duct up to the brow; that’s where a brow should begin. Anything in front of that line should be plucked.
2. To find where your arch should be, draw an imaginary line diagonally from the outer base of your nowe up through the center of the pupil.  That’s where your brow should reach it’s highest point.
3. Use this same imaginary line to follow diagonally up from the outer base of your nose to the outside corner of your eye; this is where your brow should end.
4. Look for stray hairs around your brow.  Check the top and underneath and pluck any that are out of place.

If needed, you can use an eyebrow pencil to fill in a sparse brow.  Make sure you use a color that is a shade lighter than your actual brow color.  To keep your brows in place you can use clear mascara or brow wax.  An old toothbrush or brow brush with some hair gel applied to your brow can even do the trick.

Do you want to be the first teens to make video with the legendary Usher? Learn more about your nutrition and then help spread the word while having a load of fun with it. Usher is launching a competition in which a group of lucky teens will get the chance to collaborate with him on his latest music video. The star is taking part in the Got Noise? Program (we’re talking about milk here).

I do not condone all of Usher’s videos he makes. I would not suggest that you as a teen watch all of his videos. But what he is doing here is a good cause and a great opportunity.

Usher is looking for teens between the age of 13 and 18 to submit video ideas for his latest video. The winners will be put into two teams and they will create, cast, produce and shoot a real music video with the famous Usher. You will be trained on how to use the top of the line video equipment and editing software. If chosen you will also get to work with filmmakers from across the country. Just think, you will be working with and directing the one-and-only Usher. You’ll be making history.

These videos will go head-to-head with the studio version of the videos and will then be in an online vote-off. You need to hurry though. They are only taking applications until January 31, 2009.

One part of beauty is giving your confidence level a boost and having fun. Giving your talent a creative outlet and expressing who you are allows your beauty to shine.
